Traineeship/Apprenticeship

Traineeships - 3 positions

Library and Cultural Services Trainee – 2 Year Full Time Traineeship
Civil Construction (Plant Operation) Trainees – 2 Year Full Time Traineeship (2 positions available)

Apprenticeship - 1 position

Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice – 4 Year Full Time Apprenticeship

Salary and Conditions
The positions are all full time and graded at Trainee Level T4 under the Local Government (State) Award 2014 which equates to a salary of $619.50 gross per week.

Recently, Council conducted a Work Inspiration Day, to encourage students to learn about
what careers are available at Greater Hume Shire Council.
 
Work Inspirations provides students of all ages with an inspiring experience that introduces them to the world of work and the various roles and opportunities available in the Local Government sector.
 
Work Inspirations also assists participating Local Government Areas in developing long-term relationships with those students considered to be ‘bright stars’ and candidates for traineeships, apprenticeships or cadetships to meet future recruitment needs.
