Council Seeking Community Feedback on Flood Studies in Jindera, Culcairn, Henty and Holbrook

The draft Jindera Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan, undertaken by consultants – GHD and draft Floodplain Risk Management Studies & Plans for Culcairn, Henty and Holbrook, undertaken by consultants - WMA Water were recently approved by Council to be placed on public exhibition.
 
The draft Jindera Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan for Jindera follows the completion of the Jindera Flood Study in 2016. Council is now seeking further community feedback regarding the study and plan. The document determines the extent and impacts to which flooding affects the township of Jindera, examines floodplain management options for planning and development control, flood response improvement and flood modification measures.
 
The draft Floodplain Risk Management Studies & Plans for Culcairn, Henty and Holbrook follows the completion of the Culcairn, Henty and Holbrook Flood Studies in 2015. Council is now seeking further community feedback regarding the draft plans. The documents determine the extent and impacts to which flooding affects the townships of Culcairn, Henty and Holbrook examines floodplain management options for planning and development control, flood response improvement and flood modification measures.
 
Jindera residents can view the draft Jindera Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan documents at the Jindera Customer Service Office.
Culcairn, Henty and Holbrook residents can view the draft Floodplain Risk Management Studies & Plans for Culcairn, Henty and Holbrook documents at the Culcairn, Henty and Holbrook Customer Service Offices.
 
Both documents are on exhibition until Tuesday 28 February 2017 and can also be viewed on the Greater Hume Shire Council website here
 
Written submissions for both documents will be accepted by Council during the exhibition period and all submissions will be considered prior to final adoption of the studies and plans. Any submissions received will be considered public documents.
