Out of pocket medical costs survey

The National Rural Health Alliance would like to encourage people living in rural and remote areas of Australia to share their experience with out-of-pocket medical costs by participating in a short survey.
Out-of-pocket costs refer to additional costs for medical treatment, inside or outside of hospital, which are not covered by health insurance or Medicare and which require either full or partial payment.
The survey has been established by the Consumers Health Forum to guide their advocacy work and participation in the recently established Ministerial Advisory Committee on Out-of-Pocket Costs.
Given the lack of rural and remote representation on the Committee, the Alliance is working closely with the Consumers Health Forum to ensure that the views and circumstances of the seven million people living in rural and remote areas of Australia are taken into consideration.
