Latest Delivery Program and Operational Plan & Budget adopted

 Council last night adopted its latest Delivery Program and Operational Plan and Budget for the organisation.

 

The plan and budget results in an operating expenditure budget of $27.1 million plus a capital works programs totalling $9.2 million.  Income from rates, water and sewer amounts to $11.8 million.  Council will also receive grant operating income of $8.4 million plus capital grants totalling $2 million. 

 

Council is responsible for maintaining a road network of over 2,000kms and as such major components of the plan include provision for maintenance rural road works with 29 km of gravel resheeting and 44km bitumen resealing works programmed totalling $4.8 million, construction and maintenance of regional roads totalling a further $2.6M, and urban road projects including maintenance and construction of $1M.

 

Two exciting projects scheduled for completion during 2018/2019 is the construction of new skate parks at Jindera and Culcairn at a total cost of $400,000.

 

Council has a workforce of 106 Equivalent Full Time employees.
