Culcairn and Jindera Skate Parks are coming!

Council is seeking your input into the design of the new skate parks to be built at Culcairn and Jindera.

Construction of the two skate parks will commence later this year.

Council has received grant funding for each project of $179,429 under the Stronger Country Communities Fund Round One, with Council contributing the balance totalling $200,000 being spent at both locations.

The guides are being distributed to all homes, schools and distributed via school bus operators.

Council will consider input from residents, school students, industry professionals and other interested community members.

“I encourage feedback from everyone in the community and in particular from all young people who use skate park facilities frequently,” said Cr Wilton, Mayor Greater Hume Council.

“It’s important Council continues to plan for the future and ensure we invest in recreational facilities that meet the needs and desires of our residents”.

Council is wanting an inclusive design so all users including those with a disability are encouraged to provide feedback to help determine the best design.

The guide includes a survey to help the community respond and be involved.
