Stage 1 Water Restrictions (APPLY NOW)For Domestic and Commercial Landscape Gardens You can use: Fixed Sprinklers and Sprays - BEFORE 10am and AFTER 5pm on any day Handheld Hoses - Can be used at any time of day Dripper Systems - Are allowed at any time on any day
These apply from 15 July 2009 for the following towns: Culcairn Henty Holbrook Morven Walbundrie Walla Walla Woomargama Others connected to the Riverina Water County Council Water Scheme It was resolved by Greater Hume Shire Council at the July 2009 Council Meeting that water restrictions for the residents connected to the Culcairn Water Supply be aligned with restrictions implemented by Riverina Water County Council. Stage 2 Water Restrictions (APPLY NOW) Residential & Commercial Gardens & Lawns Hand-held hoses can now be used to water gardens and lawns on alternate days before 10.00am and after 5.00pm. - Manual watering systems can also be used for four hours a day on alternate days.
- Manual systems can operate from 6.00am until 8.00am and 6.00pm until 8.00pm.
- Automatic watering systems can operate on alternate days from midnight until 4.00am on alternate days.
Alternate Days - EVEN numbered properties – Can water on even numbered days
- ODD numbered properties – Can water on odd numbered days
- Properties without numbers – Can water on even numbered days
Washing Cars - Vehicles must be watered on a lawn and can only be washed before 10.00am and after 5.00pm.
- Cars can be washed using a hand-held hose fitted with a trigger nozzle, or a high-pressure water cleaner with a capacity of up to nine litres per minute.
Residential or Commercial Swimming Pool or Spa - Pools and spas that are at least 75% full can be topped up on alternate days before 10.00am and after 5.00pm.
- Empty pools of less than 2000 litres can be filled on alternate days before 10.00am and after 5.00pm. However, empty pools can not be filled using the town water supply.
- Any pool or spa that is 75% full can be topped up on alternate days before 10.00am and after 5.00pm.

It is suggested that residents using the above water sources publicly display a sign stating where the water has been sourced.
