Greater Hume Shire and Centacare are working together to increase community skills, knowledge and resilience by offering various skills-based programs. Mental Health First Aid is one of these courses.
The 12 hour course covers
Recognising signs and symptoms of common mental health problems
Identifying the Five stages of Mental Health First Aid
How to assist people in crisis
Identifying where to get help
Identifying the types of professional help and self help strategies
Participants receive a MHFA manual and certificate
