What to do in Greater Hume in June

Grab your beanie, scarf and warmest jacket and lets make the most of the beautiful winter landscape that surrounds us in Greater Hume with some amazing day drives and adventures.

The Round the Top Circuit will have you driving around the gorgeous Table Top Mountain, which is a brilliant series of peaks so the perspective changes depending on where you are viewing it from. On this drive you can view the mountain from Gerogery, Culcairn, Morven, Holbrook, Woomargama and Mullengandra and watch the perspective change as you also take in some historical landmarks, beautiful agricultural scenery and the breath-taking Woomargama National Park.

Make a day of it and grab some breakfast and a hot coffee in Culcairn at Feed the Soul Café, Mumma J's Food Hub or the Culcairn Bakery to warm yourself up before heading towards Morven. As you are travelling you can visit John McLean’s grave at Round Hill and become intrigued in our Bushranger heritage (find out more about that here). In Holbrook you can take your pick of what sort of history you would like to explore, whether it be the pioneering history at the Woolpack Inn Museum, some beautiful pottery at the National Museum of Australian Pottery or why not find out why there is a real submarine in town at the Holbrook Submarine Museum.

Table Top Mountain, Gerogery

Continue along your drive and head up through Woomargama to the National Park and pick one of the beautiful picnic spots to enjoy your lunch or stop in at the Flyfaire Winery for a tasting platter and a selection of their delicious organic wines while soaking in the serenity. As you pass through Mullengandra make sure you take a moment to look through the window and see the beautiful agricultural scenery. As you arrive back in Gerogery you can reflect on your adventures with a delicious pub meal at the Gerogery Hotel and a view of Table Top Mountain in the background.
