Anyone who lives within the 2644 postcode area is entitled to enter the Museum with their family group for free. Simply present your license for proof of residency before entering. Visitors are subject to admission prices.

A fabulous new feature of the museum are two Virtual Reality Headsets which take the viewer on a virtual tour of HMAS Onslow's Operating Room, Engine Room and Weapons Room.

Searching for Squirrel Gliders

Huon Travelling Stock Reserve. Corner of Urana Road & Nation road, Burrumbuttock

A family friendly event to learn about Squirrel Gliders from local ecologist Damian Michael, how to watch for them in their own habitat and how to be citizen scientists. BYO head torch, boots, warm clothes, binoculars, insect repellent, picnic rug or chairs and drinks. Supper will be provided on arrival. RSVP by 1st November.

Bibbaringa & John Wolseley Day on Farm

This is the first Open Day kicking off the series in November, starting at Bibbaringa, a Regenerative farm in Bowna managed by chairman of Earth Canvas, Gillian Sanbrook. The guest artist for the day is John Wolsely, who will share his perspective of land through art, alongside an exhibiton of his art in the WoolShed.

There will be farm tours happening by bus and a chance to take a walk with the artist and farmer. David Hardwick will talk about composting and how to build soil for a healthy land and food. Come and enjoy in a lunch provided by a local chef made with local produce and take a fresh look at agriculture and the production of healthy food and soil.

Holbrook Miniature Railway

Ten Mile Creek Gardens, Holbrook

Enjoy the track through the Ten Mile Gardens on the second and fourth Sunday of each month, throughout the year. The railway runs every Sunday during school holidays and by arrangement for parties and groups. Please note the railway does not operate in wet weather.

Consequences: Exploring the Aftermath of the First World War

Often called The Great War or 'the war to end all wars' - had a huge impact across the globe. Consequences is a new exhibition that explores the aftermath of this global conflict and the impacts it had on the Greater Hume communities - impacts which are still felt to this day. Developed in partnership between the Greater Hume community museums (Jindera Pioneer, Holbrook Woolpack Inn and Submarine, Henty Headie Taylor Header, Culcairn Station House and Wymah Museums), Albury Library Museum, Murray Arts and funded by NSW Government through Create NSW.

Project partners, supporters and guests are invited to the launch which will include a special museum theatre performance.

Mt Narra Narra & Jenny Bell Day on the Farm

Mt Narra Narra is a large scale beef Cattle Property near Holbrook, along the Ten Mile Creek. Artist Jenny Bell has been on the property and interpreted the landscape in it's simplicity and essential qualities, and she will be sharing her perspective of the land, along with an exhibition of her works. Farm Tours will be running by bus, with chances to talk with the artist and view the body of art she has produced.

Guest speakers Rod Chisholm CEO from Soils for Life will talk about how you can be involved in the solution. WhileBrian Welhburg from Inside Outside Managment will explain some fundementals of land management from his time in Africa. Local beef from Wantagong Valley GrassRoots Beefr will provide local produce.

Yammacoona & Ros Atkins

Meeting at Little Billabong Hall, Little Billabong Road, Little Billabong via Holbrook

Come and join us for a day on the farm, where we will hear from Melbourne based printmaker and artist Ros Atkins about her connection to the land and the trees, as well as guest speakers. Ros wil display her print making technique and some beutiful examples of how she views Yammacoona as a working farm and a fragile environment.

There will be farm tours by bus, and a chance to walk and talk with the artist and farmer in the landscape. Ros will talk about her obsessions the the magnificent tree and how they provide a memory of the past and landmarks. There is more to trees than meet the eye, she says.

Lunch will be provided by local chef Giusepe, made with local produce. Don't miss out on this perfect family day out to learn more about connection to land on the farm.
