What to do in Greater Hume in November

Make the most of the sunshine by heading out with your friends and family and a deliciously packed picnic to some of our most beautiful landscapes.

There are plenty of places to choose from in Woomargama National Park, like the Tin Mines and Samual Bollard picnic and camping areas. From here you can surround yourself with gorgeous flowers and wildlife and take a walk up to North lookout to soak in the view of our region.

Wirraminna Environmental Education Centre in Burrumbuttock houses a beautiful picnic spot in their 4-hectare park. The gardens and woodland contain many locally rare native shrubs, wildflowers and grasses that attract a range of animals and the picnic tables are situated next to a picturesque dam where you can feel tranquil and relaxed, immersed in our natural environment.

Morgan's Lookout near Walla Walla is an ideal picnic spot with a great history. Learn about the bushranger Dan Morgan and how he used this fantastic lookout to his advantage as you soak in the views and enjoy some quality time with family.

There are also plenty of amazing parks around Greater Hume that are perfect for a picnic. These parks house electric BBQs for a hot lunch and play equipment for the little ones. The green grassed parks can be found in Brocklesby, Culcairn, Gerogery, Henty, Holbrook, Jindera, Walla Walla and Woomaragama.
