Holbrook Miniature Railway

Location: Ten Mile Creek Gardens

Enjoy the Track through the Ten Mile Gardens on the second and fourth Sunday of each month, throughout the year.
The railway runs every Sunday during school holidays and by arrangement for parties and groups.

Headlie Taylor Sculpture Unveiling
Wednesday 12 September 2pm
Location: Bicentennial Park

A larger than life bronze sculpture of Headlie Taylor will be unveiled in Henty’s Bicentennial Park on the Olympic Highway. The unveiling will recognise the world renowned invention of a ground driven header which revolutionised grain harvesting, over 100 years ago in Henty. With Former member for Farrer and Nationals Leader Tim Fischer AC attending as a guest speaker. The commissioned artist/sculptor, Paul Smits, will travel from Melbourne to witness his work unveiled while the following day artist Paul Smits will demonstrate and explain the finer points of the sculpture process. This will be a free workshop for interested adults to be held in the Henty Lifestyle Centre from 9:00am, providing a rare opportunity for participants to experience the creative process.

Henty Machinery Field Day’s setting on the Buckingingah Creek offers a location with a great atmosphere and an easily navigated layout. EFTPOS is available at the general admission gates.  ATM’s will be on site in locations to be advised.

Unveiling of 150th commemorative plaque and tree planting.
Time capsule locking and cutting of the cake followed by afternoon tea Village Green at 6pm.
Launch and official opening, community BBQ in Village Green following the official launches.

Jindera 150th Celebration Street Parade: The parade will assemble at 10am and leave from Saint Mary McKillop College at 10.30am making its way along Urana Street past the Museum, then left into Adams Street, then Wood Street and into the Recreation Reserve where entertainment and activities will be held all day.

Commemorative Ball: St Johns School Hall. Tickets on sale now. Party like it’s 1868. MC is Steve Bowen. Formal, Period dress optional.

Ecumenical Service at Village Green at 11.30am

105th Culcairn Show
Saturday 29 September 2018 8am to 5pm
Location: Federal Street, Culcairn 

Enjoy a fun family day out at the 105th Culcairn Agricultural Show. See the best local shearing skills with the shearing and woolhandling competition. There are novice through to senior shearing categories along with woolhandling. The kids will love the show girl and show boy competition. There will be side shows and rides and stalls to browse. Enjoy sheep, cattle, horse, poultry and dogs and experience the best rural life has to offer.
