Villages of Greater Hume

Bowna – Wymah - Talmalmo

Originally this tract of the Upper Murray on the NSW side consisted of the following runs – Bowna, Cumberoona, Wagra, Dora Dora and Talmalmo.

Brocklesby

Brocklesby’s main claim to fame occurred on Sunday morning 29 September 1940, when two Avro Anson training planes were involved in a mid-air collision over Brocklesby.

Burrumbuttock

Burrumbuttock is home to the award winning Wirraminna Environmental Education Centre.

Gerogery

Gerogery is a vibrant village at the base of Table Top Mountain.

Morven

Morven sits beside Billabong Creek. The creek provides a vegetated wildlife corridor and pleasant outlook from the historic Round Hill Hotel, dating back to the 1850’s as a Cobb & Co Station.

Walbundrie

Known as the ‘crossroads’ of the Riverina, Walbundrie was a thriving gold rush town of several thousand people.

Woomargama

Woomargama is a picturesque village nestled at the foothills of Woomargama National Park with access to the Upper Murray region.
