Mandatory Changes to Lodging a Development Application

The NSW Government passed amendments to the Environment Planning and Assessment Act 1979 which will require planning applications to be lodged with Council through the NSW Planning Portal.

As of 1 July 2021, these State Government changes will require customers to submit all planning applications with Council online utilising the NSW Government Planning Portal. Council will not be able to accept planning applications over the counter, post or via email. These changes provide a new era for planning across NSW with the Planning Portal providing an easily accessible, user-friendly and transparent system for lodging planning applications.
