Contributions for the Walla Walla Community Newsletter are always welcome and your assistance in providing articles, jokes, ads or anything else will help make the newsletter a worthwhile community asset. Contributions can be dropped at the walla newsletter contributions box at the Walla General Store/Cafe or emailed to Francoise McPherson at wallanewsletter@gmail.com.

The deadline for contributing articles to be submitted is before the 15th of each month as the newsletter will be put together on the 20th of every month.

Have a Say – Exhibition of the new Draft Code of Meeting Practice

Amendments made to the Local Government Act 1993 provide for
a new model code of meeting practice, which was prescribed in
December 2018.
Since then Greater Hume Council has prepared a draft code of meeting practice that incorporates the mandatory provisions of the
Model Meeting Code and also a number of non-mandatory provisions.
