Greater Hume Council are excited to open their Events Grants Program on Monday, 4 August 2025 to Support Local Events with Promotion and Visitor Attraction.
The Greater Hume Council Event Funding Program will open for applications from eligible community event committees on Monday, 4 August 2025. This funding will provide financial assistance for community or tourism-related events held within Greater Hume Council.
This funding program has been developed as a result of the feedback received during the consultation period for the Community Strategic Plan. The ability to attend festivals and events was a priority identified within the Plan and this fund will assist event holders with promotion and marketing to further the enjoyment of residents and to increase levels of visitation.
The Greater Hume Council Event Funding Program will provide many benefits including community engagement through encouraging active participation from diverse community groups and fostering a sense of belonging, pride and identity.
Cr Lea Parker, Mayor, Greater Hume Council says, “Council are excited to release this funding as significant benefits will arise to our community such as promoting community engagement, economic development, cultural enrichment and capacity building.”
“This is a great opportunity for event organisers within our community to gain some extra support and financial assistance to increase the visibility of their event” Cr Parker stated.
Applications for this funding can be made anytime during 2025/2026 Financial Year.
Application forms and the Event Funding Guidelines will be available on Councils website from Monday, 4 August 2025. Hard copies or electronic copies will be available by phoning 02 6036 0100 or emailing mail@greaterhume.nsw.gov.au.
