Bush Fire Survival Plan
Bring prepared and having a plan is important in bush fire season.
The NSW Rural Fire Service have a four-step process on their website to help create a bush fire safety plan.

Kids Activity Books
While you prepare your Bush Fire Survival Plan, get the kids thinking about fire safety by completing the NSW Rural Fire Service Kids Activity Books. There are two books to choose from, the NSW Rural Fire Service Activity Book for Kids(PDF, 2MB) and the NSW Rural Fire Service Activity Book for 5 - 8 year olds(PDF, 2MB).
Notification of your Planned Burn
If you are planning to burn on your property, you need to let the Rural Fire Service know before you light up. Notifying them of your planned burn can help reduce unnecessary emergency calls.
You also need to let your neighbours know at least one day ahead.
You can find the form to notify the Rural Fire Service about your burn on their website.
