NSW COVID-19 Business Support

Greater Hume Council is aware that the regional lockdown is creating havoc for businesses in the region. 

To support businesses and workers at this critical time, the NSW Government's 2021 COVID-19 Support Package has been boosted to include additional financial support measures for individuals, sole traders, micro-businesses, small and medium businesses, as well as the accommodation provider and construction industry. There is support available for individuals and businesses who need it.

COVID-19 Business Grants

A one-off payment to help businesses with cashflow support for the first 3 weeks of lockdown.

 

$7,500 to $15,000 depending on the decline in turnover

  • A revenue decline of 30% or more, Annual turnover above $75,000, Payroll up to $10 million

 

JobSaver

Fortnightly payments to help maintain employee headcount (as at 13 July) and provide cashflow support to businesses

 

Employing businesses: 40% of their weekly NSW payroll, with payments between $1,500 and $100,000 per week.

Non-employing business: $1,000 per week.

 

  • A revenue decline of 30% or more

  • Turnover between $75,000 and $250 million

 

COVID-19 Micro Business Grants

A fortnightly payment for businesses with a turnover between $30,000 and $75,000

$1,500 per fortnight

 

  • A turnover between $30k and $75k
  • A revenue decline of 30% or more
  • Businessesthatprovide the primary income source for a person associated with the business.

Accommodation Providers

Accommodation provider support payments will be available in late September 2021 for eligible tourism accommodation providers that have lost business during the school holiday period. Assistance will be based on the number of cancelled room nights.

 

$2000 for up to 10 room nights.

$5000 for 11 or more room nights.

 

  • For room nights lost during the 25 June to 11 July period.
  • Must be able to show evidence of cancellations.

Accommodation providers are also encouraged to check their eligibility and apply for otherbusiness support, including the COVID-19 business grant, JobSaver, COVID-19 Micro Business Grants and payroll tax reductions.
