Council Services Return to Walla Walla in Partnership with BankWAW

Greater Hume Council and BankWAW are delighted to announce the return of Council services to the Walla Walla BankWAW Branch from Monday, 4 August 2025.

After a two-year pause, this renewed partnership means Walla Walla locals and visitors can once again access a range of Council services close to home—bringing Walla Walla back in line with the services available in Jindera, Culcairn, Holbrook, and Henty.

From Monday, 4 August, services available at BankWAW Walla Walla will include:

  • Processing eligible Council payments (please note, cheques are not accepted)
  • Issuing and receipting swimming pool season tickets
  • NSW Companion Animal registrations
  • Issuing and receipting wood fire permits

Mayor of Greater Hume Council, Cr Lea Parker, welcomed the return of the service:

“BankWAW Walla Walla will again provide a valuable point of contact for residents of the township and surrounding areas. We’re thrilled to be working alongside BankWAW to support our community with accessible, local services.”

Council services at the branch were paused in 2023 due to technical challenges that made service delivery difficult. With those issues now resolved, both BankWAW and Greater Hume Council are confident the reinstated service will be smooth, reliable, and well-received.

To mark the occasion, a community celebration and official launch will be held at the Walla Walla BankWAW Branch on Monday, 4 August at 3.00pm. All community members are warmly invited to join us for afternoon tea and help celebrate this positive step forward for the region.
