Horse Rider Warning Signs now Installed around Morven

Following a recent community meeting in Morven, Council heard strong feedback about the need for improved safety for local horse riders. With many riders frequently using village roads, the installation of Horse Rider Warning signs was identified as a priority.

We’re pleased to share that these signs have now been installed at all major entry points into Morven.

This is a great opportunity to remind all motorists, both locally and beyond, of their legal obligations when approaching horses on the road:

Drivers must:

  • Slow down and pass at a safe distance
  • Avoid loud noises such as horns or revving engines
  • Remain patient and aware — horses can be unpredictable
