NSW Seniors Week Festival

An event not to be missed! A tribute to the much-loved Australian band, The Seekers!

All within the Greater Hume Council community, aged 60 Years and over, are invited to this wonderful 2026 free Seniors Week Event.

Keith Potger’s solo tribute to the group he helped to form back in 1962 covers the songs, the stories and the influences that shaped The Seekers in their rise to international fame.

‘Celebrating The Seekers 60 Years’ is an audio-visual treat, with rare footage and still photos of the group. Keith’s 12 string guitar was an integral part of their sound and being the arranger of the vocal harmonies he had a unique place in the group.

During his performance Keith pays a special tribute to his colleague and dear friend of 60 years, the late and great Judith Durham.

This special program contains some timeless favourites from The Seekers, some beautiful original ballads from Keith’s three solo CDs and a few hits from the ‘60s to the ‘80s that influenced both, the group, and the generation who grew up playing The Seekers’ albums. Throughout the show, Keith shares stories and amusing anecdotes from almost 60 years on the international music scene. This is an up-beat, heart-warming event that will leave you reliving fond memories whilst sharing the joy that is a hallmark of Keith Potger’s solo concerts.

A free bus will also be available. It will pick up in Jindera, Walla Walla, Gerogery, Culcairn and Henty before heading to Holbrook. See pick up and return timetable below and for any further enquiries please phone 02 6036 0100.

Where: Holbrook Sporting Complex function room.

Cost: A free event for the residents of Greater Hume Council who are 60+ years of age. Intermission, with a soft drink and snack provided, between two fifty-minute sets.

Bus pick up points- Jindera to Burrumbuttock to Walla Walla to Gerogery to Culcairn to Henty to Holbrook. After the event, the bus returns to Henty to Culcairn to Gerogery to Walla Walla and back to Jindera. Again, bookings are essential for the bus.

Time of pick up and drop off at each town:

Jindera- at The Village Green. Pick up 11.30am, home again at 6.55pm

Burrumbuttock - Opposite the Farmers Inn. Pick up at 11.45am, home again at 6.45pm. 

Walla Walla- at the War Memorial Commercial St. Pick up 12.05pm, home again 6.30pm

Gerogery-at the car park at Gerogery Hotel. Pick up 12.25pm, home again 6.10pm

Culcairn-at the Bus Terminal Railway Parade (opposite Bakery). Pick up 12.45pm, home again 5.50pm

Henty-at the Header Museum Olympic Highway. Pick up 1.05pm, home again 5.30pm
