Community Meeting - Jindera Swimming Pool

Greater Hume Council will hold a community meeting to provide residents with an update on the future of the Jindera Swimming Pool.

The meeting will be held on Monday, 3 August from 6pm until 7pm at the Jindera Community Hub.

The meeting will include topics such as the current state of the Jindera Pool, the potential temporary closure of the pool due to the ability to maintain health and safety considerations for the upcoming seasons and potential remediation works. Community members will have the opportunity to hear about the matters being considered, ask questions and understand how further information will be shared as the project progresses.

Council wants to keep the community informed about decisions that may affect them and so the meeting will give the community an opportunity to hear where planning for the facility is up to before the report and Council decisions are made at the August Council meeting.

Council understands the pool is an important community facility for Jindera residents, families, schools, swimming groups and visitors. The proposed seasonal closure is not a decision Council takes lightly, and community safety is the key consideration.
