Soil Salinity and Fertility Field Day – a Holbrook Landcare Network event

Join Holbrook Landcare Network, Rebecca Haling (CSIRO) and Allan Nicholson (NSW DCCEEW) for a look at two demonstration sites on a Wantagong farm.

When: Wednesday 2 September 2026, 9.30am–12.00pm

You will:

• View two demonstration sites: a soil nutrient demonstration site in an improved pasture paddock and a salt site planted to salt-tolerant pasture species.
• Learn about the balance of nutrients required to support productive pastures, including phosphorus, sulphur, potassium and boron.
• Discover the processes leading to salinisation, the impact on land and waterways, and land management practices to reduce those impacts.
• Gain insight into multiple ways to improve productivity in saline and waterlogged soils.
• Learn how to access free soil testing opportunities.
